Madison Reentry
The Madison Reentry Council Approach
The Madison Reentry Council is a volunteer based organization that works closely with public agencies, non-profits, and faith based organizations throughout the region to connect individuals returning from incarceration with the services and resources they need. There is no fee at the Madison Reentry Council.
Taking the first, all important steps can be challenging for returning citizens. The Madison Reentry Council volunteers plan to assist returning citizens to develop a reentry plan and connect them with the community resources they need to move forward with a fresh new start.
Madison is a stronger community when we support each other. The Madison Reentry Council focuses on reducing recidivism and easing the reentry process for citizens returning to our community.
The Madison Reentry Council Priorities are to:
- Raise public awareness about "Reentry"
- Prepare to begin services to returning citizens as soon as possible
- Reduce Barriers/obstacles to reentry
